Hello, I'm Renee Adams! I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for my students and committed to ongoing professional development. I am currently a 200-RYT with certifications in yoga philosophy, Restorative and Yin yoga, and working on obtaining my RYT-500 and Mindfulness certifications.
At Sandy Soul Yoga, I believe that yoga is a holistic practice that can benefit the mind, body, and spirit. I approach yoga as a tool for self-discovery, personal growth, and healing. By passionately sharing a thoughtful and creative practice, my mission is to help others find peace, strength, and growth with grace. I am here to be a loving source of inspiration, support, and encouragement in a safe and positive environment.
I offer classes and events to support your yoga practice and deepen your understanding of yoga. From beginner classes and private sessions to meditations, a girls weekend special something or fun family bonding, there is something for everyone at Sandy Soul Yoga!
A gentle level class with basic asanas (poses) and combines the use of deep breathing and different postures to achieve a meditative state. Benefits include (but are not limited to) increased strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and bone density. It also promotes calm and inner peace.
Classes are very calm and slow paced. Props are used to support the body in a comfortable position to achieve calm and promote healing. RY can help you identify and address underlying causes of imbalance, stress and symptoms like anxiety, depression, digestive issues and pain, encouraging deep relaxation as the basis of recouperation, rejuvenation and renewal for the body and mind!
During the practice of Yin yoga, we release muscular engagement to target the connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, joints and fascia). Yin uses gravity, body weight, and props in slow, static, steady holds to carefully put appropriate stess on specific areas of the body. Over time, this creates space and length in a way that allows the tissues to open gradually in order to avoid injury.
Yoga means union and through a yoga practice we try to connect the breath, body, mind and soul. This is a 6 week series teaching foundational skills for a safe and transformative yoga practice. Learn how to ground through your hands and feet, do Sun Salutations, the Warrior series, about meditation, pranayama and so much more!

This is a process of self-exploration, self-discovery and self-transformation. It is a tool that helps with clearer self-awareness, self-understanding and self-acceptance. Meditation is both the ultimate form of yoga practice and an integral part of the entire path of discovering, loving, healing and transforming the totality of one's being.
Pranayama means breath control and is our life force energy. Breathing consciously is one of the most important parts of yoga class. It helps you relax more deeply, loosening the grip of unnecessary tension in the body. As we breathe, so we feel, and in breathing more freely and fully, we are able to feel more freely and fully.
